I know that when I'm stressed out, all I want to do is sleep... perchance to dream?
Come see how dreams figure into music and children's literature... A Bulletin Board and two display cases filled with a plethora of dream-inspired titles. Here are a few photos
And, as usual - a great shout out to Sarah Reynolds and Jennifer Meixelsperger for their vision and follow-through on these displays!
Literature and Music are all about playing one thing off against another... so we're motivated by a little play on words... In Music / CCM we always expand Banned Book Week (http://www.ala.org/bbooks/bannedbooksweek) to include music and musicians that have been challenged over the years. This year we've taken it a little further... in our title... Here are a few photos, come on upstairs to 2East and take a look ... read a book about a banned band, or listen to one of their challenged recordings from our collection.
Thanks go to Jennifer Meixelsperger and Sarah Reynolds for their inventive ideas and follow through!
For the month of September, the Music & Curriculum display areas are given over to the International Day of Peace ... books for young and old and music related to peace fill our cases and bulletin boards. Here is a sample, come up and visit to see more!
Thanks to Jennifer Meixelsperger and Sarah Reynolds for yet another amazing display!
Two exhibits - one about space as represented in music and another about life under the sea have been mounted in the Music & Curriculum Library cases and bulletin boards. Come take a look! Ground Control
