Sarah Solomon, our intrepid bulletin board designer, has come up with something really terrific this month. What does identity mean? How do we talk to children about it? Come browse the board and check out a book or two!

Is It Cold Enough For you?
How about thinking some warm thoughts... or at least about some music from warmer climes?
Our new display in the front case is music of Latin America.
Curated by Musicology/Ethnomusicology MM student Isabel Arenivar. Come take a look at the breadth of our holdings!

You say you want a revolution...
Hey, did you know there was an election coming up? Did you know that there are some amazing things in the Music & Curriculum stacks about elections and politics? Come take a look at our displays and check out some things to take home with you to learn more... because the more you know... the better you can apply your voice.
Sarah Reynolds Solomon has outdone herself again with this terrific bulletin board and Isabel Arenivar pulled some incredible materials from the collections.

New Displays! Mysteries and Musical Tributes to Boulez & Bowie
Do you like a good mystery?
Well the Curriculum Collection has a something for you!
Sarah Reynolds, our resident master bulletin board maker, has collected a selection from our stacks for you to peruse... take a look at the photos and then stop up to check some out both figuratively and literally!
Death and the Music Student
Within 5 days of one another, we lost two titans of music... very different music, but titans each. Pierre Boulez died 5th January 2016 and David Bowie died 10th January 2016... memorial displays put together for each by Music Library Intern Sylvia Yang share a case. Stop by and look closely (you might even see a bit of my childhood in there...)
